Miss Acornhoek Finalist : Jubilate
We interviewed the Miss Acornhoek Finalist Jubilate Chawane...& here's what went down
1. What do you learn from each and every day?
- A brand new day makes me realise that I am destined for greater
things, as long as I remain determined and focused. I always speak to my
inner self on a daily basis and tell myself that I can be better than
who/what I am right now by finding different ways in which that can be
implemented.
2. What would it mean for you, if you were the first ever Miss Acornhoek?
- Being the first ever Miss Acornhoek will mean creating a meaningful
legacy. I will understand that as much as the title puts me on the
spotlight it is not only about me, but about the community having a
beautiful yet wise ambassador who is proud of who she is and what she
stands for.
3. Name 5 things you cannot spend a day without
- Prayer
- Reading inspirational quotes
- Phone
- Going to the gym/working out
- Listening to my favourite song (Davido-If)
4. Describe yourself using 3 words
- I reign supreme.
5. Which colour best describes you?
- Purple –It is associated with royalty and it symbolizes power,
nobility and ambition. It further represents wisdom, dignity, independence
and creativity which define me.
6. If life was a fashion, what kind of fashion would yours be?
- Classic – Classic means elegance and it is the manner in which I carry
myself including my personality, behaviour and actions that make me stand
out.
7. What’s the most interesting thing about you?
- My educational background is my biggest highlight in life. I got
promoted twice in primary school. I completed my matric at the age of 15
in 2014. In the beginning of the year 2015, although I was under pressure I
successfully enrolled at UJ at the age of 16 for a Bcom in IT
management. Towards the end of 2015 I realised that my childhood dream of
studying mechanical engineering was not fulfilled. I changed my course
in 2016 and following my heart by doing what I’m passionate about and
made my dream come true. I started doing Mechanical Engineering at CPUT.
8. What’s the one thing you’d like to voice out as Miss Acornhoek?
- As Miss Acornhoek, I will wear my crown with pride by being a catalyst
for change in the community and not being afraid to take responsibility and
to always tackle matters head on. I will give off my time to make a
meaningful difference in the community and help young girls/ladies out
there realise the importance of education and their full potential.
