Album Appreciation: Out Of Control by Girls Aloud

Image
Album Appreciation: Out Of Control by Girls Aloud! Released in 2008 by Polydor/Fascination Records. Produced by longtime collaborator Xenomania who produced timeless hits such as Biology, The Show and Sound of the underground. Out of Control is the 5th and final studio album by Girls Aloud. Step into futuristic, the 60s and 70s inspired moments that compel you to an unforgettable listen.  It has a very classical, mature yet fun take with some fascinating production elements on songs such as Love is the Key which the girls cowrote, it's such a jingle, about a relationship with barely anything in common, opposites attract after all. With the most unforgettable Pre-Chorus that'll definitely set your heart on fire. "If you love somebody don't ask why, cupid mystifies"  Love is Pain is such a gorgeous harmonic ballad, it feels futuristic yet elegant, it deserved the single treatment with a spectacular chorus "first I saw the letter heard your secret co...

Album Appreciation: The AA: Angel With Tattoos

Album Appreciation: Angel With Tattoos by Skylar Grey  PhotoCred: Skylar Grey On Facebook. Skylar Grey's Angels with Tattoos EP is so homey and has this nostalgia touch to it. You'll feel like you're on a road trip or spring cleaning in a cabin and breaking into a romance dance. Each song has a unique feel to it that just puts you in instant bliss.  Usually she gives us these dark and emotionally driven songs that have a fun take too like Final Warning but this is a more lighter tone that we can't help but appreciate. Shame On You is a guitar driven sun kissed ballad that is so charming as Skylar sings about a lover who's too good looking everything else doesn't compare. It serves as the lead single and it has that summer touch to it.  Ain't Nobody is my favourite from the entire project, it just hits the heart with so much flavor and intimacy. It feels so personal and deep into emotion as she sings about her love is incomparable while the are ...

Album Appreciation: Blackheart by Dawn Richard

Album Appreciation: Blackheart by Dawn Richard Dawn Richard is one of the most amazing independent artists out there, always breaking boundaries, first introduced on Making The Band and as part of thee most loved girl group Danity Kane  which made history with their debut and sophomore releases .  An industry creative who touches music to sooth and bring back an energy we thought we lost tone to. All her projects stand out and offer something refreshing. One of our favorite projects is the Heart trilogy. This week we appreciate Blackheart (I listened to this album while I was in High School (17) & now at age 24, I'm like This is Gold)  which is more of the dark chapter which showcases Power. Abandonment, Homecoming , Rising ( Phoenix ), Loss & other strong subjects beautifully written and expressed brilliantly through vocals. Songs like Billie Jean open with harmonies that highlight an announcement, like a trumpet being blown...

Album Appreciation: The AA: Demi Lovato: Tell Me You Love Me Now this album is amazing stuff right there. Highly mature and find like wine. It touches the right moments and gives you something to reflect on or wonder about.  With songs like Ruin The Friendship, Only Forever, Daddy Issues, Games very relatable and music communicates, the meaningful part is a draw in and Demi achieved that, her vocals and energy bring the songs to life, the album doesn't take itself too seriously but it's also fun, attractive, flirtatious, suggestive and beautiful with each listen. One body of work Demi should be proud of. We're still jamming to this, my personal favourites are; Hitchhiker. Only Forever. Daddy Issues. Tell Me You Love Me. Ruin The Friendship. Cry Baby Tracklist.    1. Sorry Not Sorry 2. Tell Me You Love Me 3. Sexy Dirty Love 4. You Don't Do It for Me Anymore 5. Daddy Issues 6. Ruin the Friendship 7. Only Forever 8. Lonely 9. Cry Baby 10.
