We love a good girl group. Fifth Harmony was formed on the X- Factor USA and went on to be signed to Simon Cowell's Syco records where they released 3 studio albums before an expected hiatus after the departure of prominent member Camila Cabello. Which saw a shift of creative direction as the girls shared how they always wanted to write and have a say on their records. Their third album had some standouts moments in songs such as Messy (raw, real, resonance). He Like That (fun. Flirtatious and guitar sensual). Make You Mad (daring, unapologetic, romantic and cheeky).

The group currently comprises of Normani Hamilton Kordei. Lauren Jauregui. Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane who've released solo projects throughout the years and early 2025 there were rumours of a comeback with speculation that former member Camila Cabello would rejoin but they returned as a quartet and were a guest surprise performance on the Jonas Brothers tour which had many fans buzzing as the band is quite famous having hits such as Sledgehammer. Work From Home, Bo$$ & Worth It having notable moments in pop they've set a mark in the industry. 

While still releasing solo projects as Lauren is set for her long awaited debut album. Normani released hers in 2024 to a great reception though it lacked promotion from her label. Dinah Jane made a big comeback to music with an EP and Ally Brooke has had various Collaborations and even made a Christmas EP. 

With the reunion we can be thrilled for new music even though Lauren shared that there are no plans for new releases at the moment. As the last song we heard them on was Por favor/ Can You See. Hopefully by 2026 we'll get a new single. 

Update: Normani recently shared that 2027 will be a big year for Fifth Harmony. Looks like we're going more than just a tour, new music, the works! Fans are hyped up and speculating about Camila Cabello possibly rejoining the group for their big anniversary later on this year, it seems that we're hoping for the OG lineup to get into the harmony groove.

Pop Essentials: Lea Michele - Cue The Rain  Official Artwork. Columbia Records   2014 was a great year for music with great and timeless editions to an ever increasing library of must have hits! Lea Michele dropped her debut studio album Louder which had writing credits from Sia , Tove Lo , Matt Rad , Christina Perri and herself to name a few. It definitely was a jungle of pop music as it stepped into folk, EDM and very adventurous with an almost classical take for a youthful appeal.  Cue the Rain is a hard hitting ballad that showcases her vocal chops, it takes you on a thrilling high like a firework launched into the sky and beautifully explodes. The verses give you the chills as she gets confrontational as she sings "how many times have I driven this road on my way home? International Song Of The Week: Hilary Duff's Mature Comeback!

Avenue Music: Mature by Hilary Duff, The Good Stuff in Pop is Back! Official Artwork./ sugarmouse Inc. After 10 long years and the controversy surrounding her fifth studio album Breathe in. Breathe Out. Which was filled with timeless classics such as Sparks. Brave Heart. All About You & Stay In Love which was penned by Tove Lo .
