On this week's entertainment news there's a lot of new deals, new music, new shows, teasing and pregnancy rumours...

Global Star, Singer songwriter and Rapper Drake revealed his upcoming and highly anticipated album Certified Lover Boy will be released before Summer Falls. 

South African Media Personality Khanyi Mbau is reportedly pregnant. Congratulations Ms Mbau. We're so excited and happy for her. She has shared her love and appreciation for her daughter on social media and on TV shows like The Insider SA, she's Mommy Goals. But unfortunately Mbau dismissed the pregnancy rumours, letting everyone know she's not pregnant. 

Etv has a new telenovela that is promising to blaze the runway with it's fashion centred plot. This comes after Rhythm City one of their longest running and award winning soapie is coming to an end after 14 years of being on air. Rhythm has many memorable moments and has had an amazing run. Loved by viewers for it's realistic touch and relevancy and we bid farewell to RC on July 16.
Then July 19 House of Zwide premieres which has a star studded cast one of them rumoured to be Baby Cele (who recently left Uzalo portraying the villainous Gabisile Mdletshe) and Lindani Nkosi who was on Housekeepers and Isidingo. They also mentioned there'll be an appreciated amount of new faces. Produced by Bomb Productions (Isibaya) and Anati Sig  (Imbewu) it looks promising. We can all do with high fashion drama. Stunning and flashy visuals. We cannot wait.

Christina Aguilera teased new music and her new Vegas show as she's the lastest star to have her own Vegas residency. A Christina album is much needed her previous release was amazing as she worked with producers like MNEK on Deserve. One ballad you should definitely check out.

Vocal powerhouse Jessie J is back with New Music, a song titled "I want Love" it's a Dancefloor Anthem with a touch of disco and emotion. (You can check it on our New Music segment)

S3 is so generous with content that we have two new shows that have debuted on the channel, opening you up to new stories with entertainment. One of the shows is

Better Things, a comedy-drama starring Alison Adlon as
Sam Fox, a divorced Hollywood actress, juggles between raising her three daughters and focusing on her professional commitments.

SABC 2 also brings you Comedy Mixtape Fridays @19:30 featuring our talented comedians like Tumi Morake, Riaad Moosa and  Nina Hastie to name a few. The show features Parody songs, comedy sketches and more to get you on your cackle and smile.

Mack & Jay Cracker have been teasing a joint EP and it's on the works, no word on the release date yet but it looks like we'll soon be jamming to it. The two musicians are not only big fans of each other but have a strong brotherhood and enjoy working together. All the best with their project.

Singer-Songwriter Tazzly recently shared a few snaps and a clip showing him in the studio. It looks like new music is on the way anf according to an insider he might be working with Gift Of Africa on a song. The music keeps on coming and we're here for it.

After a Successful Listening Party at Hood Banquet Reya Rey and Kat Keeng (Keen9) have released their EP titled Straight Outta Bush which promises creativity, insane vocals and energy. Do check it out on our New Music segment. They are another duo that enjoy working together and are always a united front.

SABC 1 is serving a great dose of Sunday drama with the return of Family Secrets, the first Season received a lot of criticism in terms of editing and pacing but the second season is off to a strong start with action, drama and pleasing views. Catch it Sundays @19:30 only on SABC 1.

Another must watch is Judas Kiss starring Oageng Marcus Mabusela. The premise is set of betrayal. The show is a Dramedy, while it has its dramatic moments that'll have your jaw dropping. You'll also find yourself laughing your lungs out. It's more of piecing together a reality many live of the unfaithful husband and the extreme lengths he'd go to keep a secret from coming out even if it means murder. Judas Kiss Sunday @19:00 on SABC 1.



Little Mix and Anne Marie are reportedly working on a song together and it's said that they have already started filming the video. The girls and Anne are no strangers they've interacted with each other and there have been talks of a collaboration between them for a long time now and it looks like it's finally happening. We cannot wait to hear it.

Nicki Minaj revealed she already has a name for her upcoming album and fans are excited for another era of great music from the celebrated rapper.


Cassper Nyovest is readying the release of his new album, he shared the artwork and we got some new music. Showing he's a man always on the move. He secured a new deal with Drip with R100 million (Family Tree and Drip join forces) pictures of him with CEO Lekau Sehoana were shared on social. The deal was covered by different publications and celebrated for its empowering and inspiring message. Congratulations and Celebrations. They said this is more than music and sneaks but it's a showcase of black excellence through the power of collaboration.
