Entertainment Avenue: Weekend Watchlist
This weekend we've got some amazing shows just for You! Giving you a compelling collective of the very best. Let's get into it.
1. Cross (Prime Video)
- Starring Aldis Hodge & Isaiah Mustafa an action thriller that takes you on a very disturbing, exhilarating pace of emotion moving drama, Jaw dropping heart stopping moments with some interesting characters like Bobby Trey who felt like the main villain, he definitely stole the show as his onscreen presence is a huge draw in, I wish more was done with him, Ed Ramsy is a spine chilling delivery, forget about pizza, lock the doors because he definitely gives lethal makeovers. The overall story keeps you focused and you never miss out on the action. There's some glamour, sweet moments amidst the dark and cold setting.
2. Superman & Lois (Max/CW)
- Late to the party I know but this is truly a show that's making me fall in love with the Superman character since Smallville. It has this close to home feel, strong writing and a very good arrangement of characters that have their moments. Barely watched the movies but this is one of best live adaptations and Tyler definitely gives you a Superman you wanna root for, heroic and loveable. Lois brings the charm and integrity not forgetting the teen drama that gives the power couple a different challenge from villains to everyday parenting it's not a daily planet/Smallville Gazette exclusive story or something that needs super strength, superspeed or kryptonite which makes it intriguing.
3. Billions

- Dirty, Rich & Drama! Brace yourself for some toxic high luxurious drama that definitely will have you dipping into more than ranch because things do get spicy with conflicting moments that give a satisfying crunch of intense flavour sure to keep you tuned in. A world of financial scandals...If you haven't, go for a binge!
4. Blood Legacy (Netflix)

- Led by an all star South African cast, this show definitely has some notable moments that stand out. The performances enhance the overall tone of the show and pretty devastating moments, as they say beauty is skin deep. A family at war with itself soon discovers they're stronger together, I'm not being cliche here, it definitely has a nasty twist.
5. White Lies (M-Net)
- Quizzical Pictures & M-Net deserve multiple awards for this show. It has the best writing ever, the final episode is cinematic magic with an amazing score to sweeten the chills of the tension. A Detective (Brendon Daniels) & Journalist (Natalie Dormer) enemies turned friends work together to uncover the truth. Stunning visuals and rollercoaster highs that come down to scare you.
These are the Top 5 must watch shows! Ready? Tune In.
A Blessed Weekend to All.
Much Love.
