Avenue Lifestyle: True Worship & Service

Month of May is here and Blessed are we! God is Good and God is Love. Today on Avenue Lifestyle we talk about True Service & Worship, having the heart for God and leaving out the earthly labels to take on a Christ-like nature. 

We all want to walk with God, the problem starts when we want to use our resources and means to make it. We're trying to deny God the role of a Father, Provider...the role of Him being our everything, we usually learn the hard way at times when our methods prove useless and unnecessary because we're followers, we have to abide, submit, surrender and let God be God. 

We often come to a turning point where we realise all we have to do is believe, follow His ways and be filled with His Holy Spirit for the truth to be in us we have to be connected to Him who is truthful, without God nothing really stands, we wouldn't exist. There are many truths out there, personal and professional, belief systems yet God's nature proves to be greater and real. Not only are we made in His image but His power is constantly at work in us, putting to death the old self and taking up newly birthed lives through Christ Jesus our Lord & Savior.

He who brings Life also is the Truth and is the way to the Father, to Life. Serving God has to be genuine and with complete devotion if we raise our hands and soak in His presence yet we're filled with the world and are holding on to it, meditating and having an intimate relationship with the world itself then we have no room for God. If you had a full course meal and have no room for the bread of life then your diet needs to change.

God prepares everything for us as a Father should, we need not figure things out on our own. We have the Spirit of God living in us. We're led and we'll never be lost. We follow after Christ and lose ourselves for a greater gain. A Christ-like nature isn't selfish but selfless towards God, offering yourself completely that you may be transformed and be an instrument of God's desired purpose. Many may question God's works in your life because it is a mystery there's not clarity because just like our Lord Jesus many saw him but couldn't discern who He really is or they would've believed. Some of us look like we're dying yet we're rebranding, becoming children of God. Only those to whom God reveals will know the wonderful work of refinement taking place in our lives. The world can carve you based on its standard but God breaks that standard and showcases His Glory in what seems useless, out of the norm. 

Serving God means having no room for maybe, no, but....unforgiveness or traits that aren't from God, you have to be fully equipped for the good work he has called you to do that you may be a full fledged representative of His Kingdom, a son & daughter, a servant who honours His master. 

It starts with God and He is able to lead us into all truth. His truth sets us free from the darkness that's trying to completely cover this world. God is consistent Light that is eternal. We come to know Him not only through scriptures but in our daily lives as we trust and experience who He is, a Loving Father for many circumstances brought revelation, the trials as well showed us just how powerful and attentive He is. His patience, His grace, forgiveness, mercy and strength. When we run out He's always there to fill us up. In order to truly serve Him and not hear the words "I never knew you" we must be true sons and daughters, responding to His call and not declining it for the world's offer.

The World is your oyster but Christ is the Bread Of Life! 

God is Love. Seek Him and you'll never be lost. If you're filled with His Love and Spirit only Good and Greatness can come out of it. He's pure and Holy, one to be honoured and acknowledged as God. He has given us His Son to be our Savior. He never leaves nor forsakes us. It starts with receiving Christ and there'll be true worship and service as you'll be led by the Spirit of God. Look at the Apostles and how God used them mightily to heal the sick, deliver the demon possessed, oppressed and to preach the Gospel. Let God finish the work He started in you. It's so much fun. 

As a believer I've experienced Him in ways I never thought possible, He has pushed me beyond my limits that I may see who He is that nothing limits Him and that breakthrough is possible even in the most unlikely settings for He is God and nothing is difficult for Him. To God be the Glory.
