Actress Of The Week: Kaitlin Olson as Morgan Gillory on ABC's High Potential 


Kaitlin Olson has been known as a comedy actress for years but this new lead role gives fans a chance to see her acting chops, she's one of the best. Her emotional depth and drive in a scene are a brilliance of beauty. Plus the natural charm and style of character presentation gives her that edge to Standout and not drown in the script or around her costars, she holds her own and shines like a star.

In the latest episode (9) she has a scene with Douglas Newmeyer in which he (Keith Carradine) brutally bites into Morgan trying to kill her confidence and project. She takes the burn so well, it was visually striking and pleasing. She gave in yet bounced back in the end as he who laughs last, laughs best indeed. Morgan isn't overpowered as a character and it is a great advantage that helps shape her character and allows a know it all like her to develop and tell a story without the whole "she's smart and has to always be right" when you take hits as the lead there's a great payoff in performance and moving an audience which helps in engagement of captivation. 

We absolutely loved the way the show keeps on getting better. She doesn't always need prop scenes to feel special or the centre of attention. Her role is well established and Kaitlin does a great job as a leading lady. We give her performance a 5/5. With each episode we see something new about her, it's not the same old "I'm smart" Morgan is actually challenged in the scorching spotlight and isn't one dimensional.

It's finally here. It's screaming Tropical summer, a surging with flirtatious romance bop that feels like it's the ultimate love song sure to get two lovers together. Jonita and Leigh-Anne bring in the energy sounding electric and charged up, so assured of the intentions of the guy who has their attention, letting him know he's a winner, they're already in, no need to do more. The downside is I would've loved it if the song had a bridge or they sang together some more, not seperate solos.
