Little Mix Confetti (Review)

 Little Mix : CONFETTI

The girls have released their 6th studio album. It's a very amazing offering. Pop, R&B with reggaeton elements. Confetti is a nod to the dancefloor. Heart & sets a very strong tone.

We kickoff the album with the 80s inspired BREAK UP SONG, released as the first official single. This song is pop gold, packed with nostalgia and euphoria you can't help but feel good listening to this, we'll definitely let it play on and on and on. They all get a chance to shine on this record. It deserved a proper video thou. The chorus is a beautiful blend of their voices showing they are stronger together. 10/10

HOLIDAY

 is The Second Song, it's about celebrating the one you love, being around them feels like a holiday, your getaway. It's more like a sequel to fan favourite "Your Love" from their 4th studio album "Glory Days". Holiday is more passionate and summery sexy, highly complimentary and flirtatious. Another feel good song. 9.9/10

SWEET MELODY. 

Went something like...this song is amazeballs, you can't help but find yourself singing it again and again. Jade said that it's Touch 2.0, we agree. It tells a story about a boy who was a player who'd keep the girls around with a Sweet Melody. The beat is insane and the Prechorus is just a joy. I'm crazy about the verses especially Perrie's "I was just his tiny dancer he had control of my feet" we truly love this song and it's another Little Mix banger with meaning. 10/10

CONFETTI

This is classic mix. Confetti feels like that feel good and celebrate your life after changing it. (See what I did there?) Gotta love a song that is all about self love and support. Check in the good life with my friends and enjoy it. It's sexy, fun and gives you more than an impression. 9.9/10

HAPPINESS 

the europop upbeat ballad, now at first listen I wasn't sure about this song but after a proper listen I was highly impressed. The vocals, the arrangement. It's a gorgeous flow, stunning to the ear. Jesy opens the song with so much confidence and assurance, I wanted to hear more of her on this record. It's one of their best songs. deserved to be a single. 10/10

NOT A POP SONG

This one has a very different feel and sounds so early 2000s, correct me if I'm wrong. Written by MNEK and the girls, it's about taking control and not being a puppet on a string. A singalong explosive chorus catchy and fun. Not a Pop song is a really good song with a powerful message. 8/10

NOTHING BUT MY FEELINGS

Ok this is my favourite song from the album and it gave me Rihanna vibes from talk that talk era. It's a very interesting song. It switches up from innocent to flirtatious and daring. The Prechorus is a highlight for me. Eargasm at its best. Leigh Anne & Jade definitely brought the Prechorus to life. It was denied a bridge but hey it still serves some heat. 9/10

GLOVES UP

Now this feels like a follow-up to Salute. More aggressive and ready for the win. The war and victory song. Little Mix are known for empowerment and this is their best. They've been vulnerable, sexy, in love but now they're taking their crowns, they know their worth and aren't backing down. Teared up the minute the chorus was on. Arena anthem. 10/10

A MESS (HAPPY FOR YOU)

Minute I heard this I'm like "We need a remix with Burna Boy" it sounds very breezy and fresh. The verses are bouncy and light, a sweet offering. The Prechorus has the angelic Jade sounding so hurt and sincere. While Jesy is all about protecting her feelings and not letting her guard down. The song was unexpected. A fun beat but sad lyrics. 10/10

IF YOU WANT MY LOVE

Jade's opening verse is a heart melter, she delivered. Minute I heard the first verse I'm like "We have a winner here" the song starts off strong and ends strong. They all sound confident and know what they want. So boys if you want their love...you got to work.

RENDEZVOUS

Now naughty Mix is a must have...if you've listened to Beep Beep *Chuckles* I was looking forward to this one because they said it's dark, sexy and laidback. 

R&B mood for days. They owned this song and gave it that Little Mix touch. Swagger. Sexiness and inviting. One of the stand out tracks on the album. 10/10

MY LOVE WON'T LET YOU DOWN & BREATHE are the ballads on this album. They are very beautiful and can get you very emotional.

On my love won't let you down the girls assure each other that they'll always be there for each other, no matter what. Breathe is about heartbreak, so tonight I'll sing another, another heartbreak song... 10/10

It's a very impressive album. Not a concept album but it's a burst of Confetti. Different elements that are a celebration. A must have on your playlist.
