 We Sat down with Driiver Moropana who is fashion forward in the movement. Started a brand with a huge following, it brings people together and he tells us about how it started and a few interesting facts about himself. 

Here's what went down: Welcome To Mzansi Avenue. Now let's get to it... Who is Driver and what is he all about? 

 Moropana Driiver: Thank you very much "Driiver" is just a young guy who's a dedicated hardworking hustler my real name and surname; Moropana Morakeng. Age 24, He's a student at Sekhukhune TVET College CN Phatudi Campus. I'm all about bringing my kasi on the map, I'm the founder of Doti Clothing. 

Mcking: Wow very interesting and Before we dive into the clothing brand, we'd love to know more about you...what inspired the name "Driiver"? What's the story behind it? 

Moropanaa Driiver: (laughs) 😂 "Driiver" was my stage name, I used to be a stand-up comedian whereby at the end of a joke I'll be like "Driver ka fologa mowe ntlong ya mazenke ao hlagala" "Driver this Driver that" (laughs) then people started calling me "Mr Driver" then thats how I ended up with the name, I added double "i" because I didnt want it to be like I'm a "Driver" but "Driiver" hope I'm not confusing anyone. 

Mcking: Ohh so you have a funny bone, interesting. Laughter is the best medicine after all. You definitely gave your nickname name a nice touch to it. Who do you look up to? 

Moropanaa Driiver: I got 2 role models❤ My role models are Steve Harvey & Warren Masemola. 

Mcking: Why those two gentlemen? We'd love to know.. 

Moropanaa Driiver: Those Two Gentlemen are an inspiration to a lot of people. They know alot about life, poverty, the hustle & how to handle bad situations (applauds) As For Warren Masemola I was so motivated when I heard that he's selling tomatoes & potatoes on the street even though He's an Actor & very famous but when the hustle is in your veins you will forever be in that zone. 

Mcking: Indeed they're very empowering people. What is your daily motivation? What drives you? 

MoropanaDriiver: My daily motivation is; No Expectations,No disappointments!! Don't expect anyone to teach you about life, wake up & learn for yourself. Negativity drives me a lot & makes me wake upp every morning & say "I'm going to prove them wrong let me do it"❤️ 

Mcking: Wow, that's the way to go. Focused, Unapologetic and Ready to take the prize no matter what. I like that. What are the 5 things that are essential to you? That a day feels incomplete without them. 

Moropanaa Driiver: 1. Not talking to my Mom over over the phone Since I'm Far From her. 2. Not getting any orders from people but I still stay positive. 3. Spending a day without making a difference 4. My day without music it's incomplete. 5. Without talking to my social media friends.  

Mcking: You're more of a hearty person. And how did you get to Doti Clothing? How did that come about? When did it all start? 

Moropanaa Driiver: it started in 2018 & a person who motivated me or should I say inspired me is Frans Riba founder of THUG Worldwide Clothing. I wanted to be independent so I saw a chance then used it by coming up with a brand. Doti Clothing Brand made me have sleepless nights [trying] to figure out what can I come [up] with, something unique, that's what I wanted. So one day I visited my grandma, she's swati so I heard her saying "Doti" many times & I asked her [what it meant and she said] It's "Dirt /Rubbish" it accomodates all languages "Doti" means "Rubbish". Then I had to sketch down something for the name "Doti" all thanks to my grandma😊❤ that's how Doti Clothing was created. 

Mcking: That's a very interesting story and after you came up with the name... What steps did you take to make this project a successful reality? 

Moropanaa Driiver: Before you wanna be supported, build a name for yourself. I had to market it everyday, wear my T-shirt day in day out...It wasn't promising at first but I never lost hope. I had to be close with people who know a lot about this branding stuff & how to run it. I registered it then I started getting support from people, people from different places that's how it became successful. 

Mcking: Persistence and Determination. You had that and now you have a lot of clients. Did you expect this kind of love and attention? 

MoropanaDriiver: I never expected such an outcome , hard work pays❤️ & a big thank you to my supporters. 

Mcking Indeed. So what do you have planned this season? Winter is approaching soon, any limited edition winter wear? 

Moropanaa Driiver: I'm working on a new Doti Clothing Logo🤞🏼 So I'm gonna drop it on winter along with New Limited Hoodies & Sweaters with an addition of winter hat❤️
