MCK!NG: Welcome to Mzansi Avenue. Thank you for joining us.
How are you?

Stabuza: Thank you...
I'm very good and how are you

MCK!NG: I'm alright thanks.
So who is Stabuza and what does he do?

Stabuza: My real name is Walter Ngomane and Stabuza is my stage name, I am a Business man, DJ & Producer from Bushbuckridge.

MCK!NG: Which genre of music do you usually produce? Or you're best known for?

Stabuza: I do House music.

MCK!NG: And how did you discover your music talent as a DJ?

Stabuza: In the beginning I was not a DJ but I was doing kwaito music (vocalist) released a Kwaito album in 2004. It didn't do well because I was still young and I didn't know much about music and the industry back then.

MCK!NG: Ohh, on the Kwaito album, did you sing or rap or feature other artists?
Stabuza: I was the one singing...
Then in 2006 I met DJ Brian from  SABC radio station (Munghana Lonene) he allowed me to be on his Love Life radio show, that's where I began to learned about DJing. I started requesting for my own slots at the clubs and tarvens until I became a professional DJ.

MCK!NG: Wow impressive. So will we ever a record from you? Singing in one of your songs or you're just focusing on being a DJ?

Stabuza: Focusing on being a DJ. I do work as a Music Producer & Entrepreneur though, so I'm in different spaces, I enjoy each field of expertise. I started to send my mixtapes to Drama Queen weekend shows on Ligwalagwala fm, until I received a call from Oskido's program (OskidoIbelieve) and they bought me a powerful sound system so that I can become a business man and work for myself.

MCK!NG:  Wow that's amazing. What have you learned so far in this industry?

Stabuza: There's a lot of challenges...
If you don't manege your brand properly you won't make it.

MCK!NG: And how did you overcome some of the challenges?

Stabuza: Well I would say by quitting alcohol and smoking 5 years ago. (Get rid of what will hold you back)
Also by making sure that I always upgrade my equipment and do financial management, balancing the books to keep things smooth.

MCK!NG: And you've been sober ever since? Wow congratulations.

What words of motivation would you like to share with anyone who wants to be part of this industry?

Stabuza: Be focused and know what you want, be realistic with your goals and stay true.

MCK!NG: And who are the people who've been supporting you throughout?

Stabuza: A lot people actually..The National Youth Development Agency, OskidoIbelieve and many other Radio DJs. It shows that what I'm doing in Bushbuckridge is also seen by good people that are very far from me.

MCK!NG:And how does one be part of your events? As an artist or entrepreneur who wants to sell something at your event?

Stabuza: You can contact me and Some pay but some don't, it depends on the kind of business they're in and their standing. Their products will get the recognition they deserve because I always get support from many (influential/supportive) people at my events.

MCK!NG: Wow that's awesome. And who is your role model?

Stabuza: Oskido is also my role model. The way he started his career and how he got to where he is today, proves with determination you can make it. It uplifts you.

MCK!NG: And where can we download your music/ mixes?

Stabuza: I've got a YouTube channel (Stabuza Music Concepts) I also announce on my Facebook page where they can get my music (updates) before we release on digital platforms.

MCK!NG: What is your daily motivation?

Stabuza: Listening to a lot of music and spending time with my kids. That's my daily motivation.

MCK!NG: That's amazing and what has fatherhood taught you?

Stabuza: Discipline because now (the) young ones are watching me and I believe they might also do what I'm doing so I have to be a good example, learning board.

MCK!NG: That's good.
So what can we expect from you? New music? Events?

Stabuza: I'm releasing an Ep in March 2022. About the events you just have to check my Facebook page that's where you can see all upcoming events.

MCK!NG; We look forward to it. All the best and God bless. Thank you for joining us.

Stabuza: Thank you.

Stabuza started off as a musician and pushed himself to do what he loves which is being a DJ among other audience gripping talents. You too can do the same. Never give up and press on...
