While I'm yet to watch the first installment, I decided to check out the sequel and I must say it was worth the watch. Dave Bautista really brought presence into the character, relatable realism. The transition to fatherhood and wanting a more comfortable life was well executed. It was more of genuine effort and not a character suppressing themselves only to finally snap.
His Relationship with His daughter, Sophie (Chloe Coleman) is really nice though at times she comes across as a TEENAGER, that can give you a headache with rebellion, it gave them something to work with and had a beautiful progression that didn't feel forced. You were rooting for them to have that father & daughter relationship. From wanting to get away from Him to get of losing him, it was quite an emotional rollercoaster.

The action packed scenes and the comedy were brilliant. It was a good balance of some child friendly material meets some grown up heavy deliveries at times. The villains were a menace, they didn't feel like the usual easy beat, stakes were really high and it had a good pace that didn't get dull at all because the characters had chemistry and flowed from scene to scene complimenting each other.
I wish we got to see JJ go full boss mode, he was holding back, it would've been nice to see him clean house giving the bad guys a massive beatdown. He was denied that in the film unfortunately. Overall it does come together to give a sense of adventure, action, youthful & humorous energy that charms its way to your screen.
We give this movie 4.5/5 stars.
It's definitely a Good movie, we'd watch it again.
