Best of 2024 So Far!


2024 has been an interesting Year with some of the most controversial, inspiring, jaw dropping and creative deliveries that definitely gave more than expected! There's so much to celebrate. We're on the brighter side of life. 

We kick things off with 


PhotoCred: Marvel Animation 

X-Men 97' which was picked up by Disney and headed by Beau DeMayo. His creative direction and writing was acclaimed by fans who noted he was well invested in the source material and utilized it to make the X-Men one of the most interesting groups in Marvel history as the highly acclaimed episode 5: Remember It set a mark and a very memorable one at all in terms of storytelling. He proved to be a writer who knew how to flesh out the X-Men with his fellow team. Some OG voice actors like Lenore Zann & reprised their roles as Rogue & Wolverine respectively. Jenifer Hale (totally spies, Wolverine & the X-Men) voices Jean Grey. 
X-Men 97 is definitely one of the best shows of 2024 and will go down in history for its impact, everyone assumed it'll be nostalgia bait and boy were we wrong! 


How To Ruin Love: The Proposal

Burnt Onion Productions never shies away from dramedy scene and they do exceptionally well, this Spinoff based on the hit series How to Ruin Christmas - has performed very well in terms of visualization, styling and it didn't feel like an imitation of American content, it felt authentically South African led by Sive Mabuya, Bohang Moeko, Marjorie Langa, Shoki Mmola, Mapaseka Koetle featuring Thando Thabethe & Sandile Mahlangu.
The story is properly executed it remains true to the title and if you're used to horror flicks leaving you on edge, How to Ruin Love will definitely get you on a laughter, heartwarming ride where the suspense is effective on a high yet feel good. The score is brilliant and it takes so many cliche/stereotype settings and has fun with them.

Taste By Sabrina Carpenter

Her 6th studio album Short n' Sweet is Out and available for streaming. Sabrina has been in the industry for years starring on shows like Girl Meets World, she has proven to be an amazing actress and her vocal chops always leave a good impression. While she received more widespread recognition with her 2022 hit single nonsense and with Espresso being the song of the summer. We can't help but love the rock pop daring record she released which serves as the third single. It showcases an evolution sonically as she's one who never remains in the same territory. Each era she's on to something new and she definitely opens the song in a way that has you excited as a listener for what's next. The guitar driven song is just a pop gem. 


Carmelo Hayes Vs. Andrade On SmackDown!

On the sports side of things. We have to say Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade. These two stars are amazing yet if you said they'll be feuding we'd definitely cock an eyebrow like "why?" But surprise surprise they've been the most engaging to watch in the squared circle, some amazing chemistry they have. Their matches are truly epic and we can't wait for the fourth one. We're interested to see where this leads to because even without a title they're bringing the heat they definitely deserve to be on the SmackDown main event, it would be an epic way to close the show. 



Jade - Angel Of My Dreams

When it comes to Jade we really had no idea what her direction sonically would be and when we finally heard her debut single, it sounded genius, out of the box and something catchy that makes a lasting note, having served as a songwriter as part of Little Mix and being around producers, Jade understands her sound as an artist and beautifully taps into it. Angel Of My Dreams isn't just a single made to chart, she's setting a mark on the music scene, an unforgettable one at that. One of thee best reintroductions ever! She made a song that changed and challenged the game. 5/5 debut. 



Ilja Dragunov's Main Roster Rise!

Ilja Dragunov - He had an amazing run as NXT Champion. His move to the main roster started off strong he had some phenomenal matches with some of the best in the business. We are yet to see more of him and we're all awaiting for a feud with the current WWE World Champion Gunther, they have some unfinished business and we do love some long-term storytelling. He's one who gets in the ring and just leaves a great impact. His charisma is off the charts. He's going to be huge and it's only the beginning.
