Star Of The Month: Apostle K.E Thulare

May-June Edition Cover Star

Having to have been part of the congregation and listening to him deliver a message that truly showcased God's identity and the representation of a Holy Kingdom where man's flaws are able to be met with the grace of transformation. Apostle Thulare preaches with passion and emphasizes God who is the centre of our existence.

He recently was ordained and had a beautiful ceremony during Easter weekend and we say Congratulations, Celebration! We chat to this amazing servant of the True & Living God as He gives insight. Here's how it went:

Welcome to Mzansi Avenue
Thank You for Joining Us
How are You?

Apostle Thulare: Thank you for having me, I am blessed and still under grace.

Aaron: Amen. Who is Apostle Thulare and what does He do?

Apostle Thulare: Kgaugelo Eddy Thulare is a spiritual leader with an Apostolic calling upon his life, born in the 80s, married to a beautiful woman with 3 kids, leading a church called Grace Encounter Church in Mpumalanga,Acornhoek.

Aaron: That's amazing...How did this journey of Ministry begin and what's the one highlight that has stuck with you since then?

Apostle Thulare: My journey began with a prophecy some years (ago) 2003/4 when I was younger and just a mere keyboard player in my biological father's church but not born again, a prophetess came to my father's church and told me about my calling which I refused based on not wanting to become a Pastor but God had his plans for my life. A few years later I got another prophecy if I remember well, I was told if I don't accept the calling thing's might not go well with me and because I was stubborn like Jonah, God had a fetch, thats a story for another day. The rest was history.

Aaron: Wow that's very interesting. We often map out our lives from childhood, graduating and evolving. Did you have a different layout in mind that you had to set aside for this Great call?

Apostle Thulare: Thank you for the question, Most definitely yes, I wanted to be a sound engineer but ended up studying electrical engineering and also tourism which I worked most parts of my life as (a) nature guide, when the calling became too great upon my life I was fired while at work with no reason and was reminded of how hard my life would be if I didn't accept the calling. So yes I had everything in my head planned out but it didn't work out as I planned.

Aaron: It must've been a really challenging but worth it season. Who is your support system? The people you can absolutely ring and why?

Apostle Thulare: My wife and fortunately both my parents are still part of my life even now, my spiritual father: Apostle PS Ndlovu and my elder brother Godfrey Thulare (most supportive structure) and 1 of our elders in the church(kokwane Khoza) whose been a part of my life since I was very very young.

Aaron: No man is an island indeed, How do you deal with some uncomfortable and controversial issues within the walk of Faith, how are they best handled?

Apostle Thulare: Listen I have taught my self never to follow or listen to issues or entertain issues that I have no info or which do not hit me directly so in this one. I follow the Christ pattern if Christ is not in it, I don't entertain, argue or even comment on it because I understand that most controversial issues are there to hard the body of Christ or infact raise loopholes in Christianity which I am not ready to be part of destroying the body of christ but  instead we learn and make sure we don't end up in such situations. No one is perfect and issues can rise anytime but your conviction should control your tongue.

Aaron: Amen to that. Well said and eye opening. Your Top 5 favourite scriptures?

Apostle Thulare: Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint." This verse reminds us that when we put our hope and trust in the Lord, He renews our strength and gives us the energy and endurance we need.

Philippians 4:13: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." This verse serves as a powerful reminder that with God's strength, we can overcome any challenge or obstacle that comes our way.

Joshua 1:9: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." This verse reminds us that God is always with us, no matter where we go or what we face, and encourages us to be strong and courageous.

1 Corinthians 15:58: "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." This verse reminds us to stand firm and give ourselves fully to the work of the Lord, knowing that our efforts are not in vain.

Psalm 27:1: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" This verse reminds us that God is our light, salvation, and stronghold, and encourages us to trust in Him and not be afraid ¹.

Aaron: This just proves how necessary scripture consumption is, wow! What has fatherhood taught you about yourself overall?

Apostle Thulare:I can be very patient and understanding and always wanna see the best out of someone, I have learned tolerance but also a bit hard(firm) as well not to send out wrong message...

Aaron: That's brilliant. What are some of the challenges you've come across in this walk of Faith and how did you overcome them?

Apostle Thulare: We are completely different and everyone is fighting their own battles (demons), you have to stay true to yourself, know yourself and know what you want in this life, limit your expectations 'cause you'll be brutally hurt but most importantly - I have learnt that God is all that matters nothing else and no one else matters accept Christ. This grounds me, makes me more spiritually guarded.

Aaron: You definitely have peace when you make God your everything. God often removes and adds, so what are some of the losses you had to make peace with and how would you advise us to not dwell on the past? We're told about the cost of being a disciple in the scriptures,

Apostle Thulare: From losing a life filled with so many opportunities especially abroad not just for me but my family as well to coming back to the dusty hometown to preach the Gospel has taught me a lot about total surrendering your plans to God, We plan but the Lord gives answers, I had to walk away from a lot of excitement/entertainment especially from a young to take a huge role of becoming not just a pastor but a spiritual figure, public figure and most importantly a father to many by grace.

Aaron: That definitely was a huge sacrifice. It's definitely paying off that's for sure. What's the most exciting memory you have in your Ministry?

Apostle Thulare: Seeing the sick, the helpless and most importantly see the power of salvation and the power of God, their testimonies always inspire me to seek God even more and to know that God is still speaking and doing something in our lives.

Aaron: It's amazing to see! The dangers of being lukewarm are? How do we get out of that space?

Apostle Thulare: Compromises, easily offended and always under attack. The Bible says: run to me all who are weary and I will give you rest, unfortunately when you've not completely surrendered you can't experience the true rest that comes with Christ. So our only option is Christ to be at the center of everything...there's a song that says "I'll put you in front of my melodies you are all that matters" when a generation that can leave everything and create room for only Christ and nothing else then they'll be able to get out of that space

Aaron: Well said, a big Amen to that. What's your daily motivation?

Apostle Thulare: My love for Jesus, I love that man too much I can lose everything but not Him, He is my motivator to make sure He is known enough, celebrated enough and understood enough, that's why my sermons and teachings are more on understanding Christ and how much power he has.

Aaron: Christ centred, that's amazing!
5 things you can't go a day without?

Apostle Thulare: 1.Prayer
2. My Bible
3. My notebook
4. My phone
5. My family

Aaron: Those are some essentials alright! Any special words for the Special Lady in your life?

Apostle Thulare: Lord.....I never understood what it means to be one with someone until I met you, your smile is my smile and your sadness is mine too your pain is my pain your joy is my joy, we share every things to a point of sharing the same air, can't live well without you can't function well without you, you've become the 2nd best thing in my life after Christ, and I love you with every little bit of my heart.

Aaron: That's truly beautiful and congratulations on such a successful marriage and serving the Living Almighty God.

Apostle K.E Thulare is an exceptional figure in today's setting, playing a vital role in reconnecting man with God as a servant, preaching and teaching a Gospel that brings about reconciliation, restoration, hope and a life that knows no end.
