Crush Of The Week: Selena Gomez


This week we have the Come & Get It Singer Selena Gomez who's a Singer-Songwriter. Actress. Philanthropist & Producer & Business Woman. She's starred in many films and Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place which was her centre stage moment.


She first appeared on Barney & Friends as a child and got featured on films like Spy Kids 3: Game Over, Monte Carlo, The Dead Don't Die & A Rainy Day in New York. Her music has been positively reviewed with songs such as A Year Without Rain with the Scene, Lose You to Love Me, The Heart wants what it wants, Look at Her now & It Ain't Me just to name a few. Selena's music has made strong debuts and appearances on charts like the Billboard 200.

Her recent television work includes the acclaimed Hulu  series Only Murders In The Building co-starring Martin Short & Steve Martin, it was renewed for a second season and are currently shooting it also earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series at The Critic's Choice Television Awards. Gomez kicked off a cooking show titled Selena+Chef during the lockdown and now it's on streaming platform HBO max. Each episode features a guest Chef and they tackle a meal while sharing tips and tricks, there's also a donation to a charity of the chef's choosing after the episode. It was renewed for a fourth season. As a Producer Selena has worked on Netflix hit show 13 Reasons Why where she contributed the tracklist as an artist with Back to You. There's also the Docu-series Living Undocumented produced by her as she launched her own production company July Moon Productions which is also responsible for Selena+Chef.

And she's working on a beauty brand called Rare Beauty, which is accompanied by a mini magazine which promotes the makeup line.

Selena is an inspiring young woman who is always serving something everyone looks forward to. We can't forget to mention her Spanish EP RevelaciĂłn. You should definitely check it out. It was nominated for Best Lain Pop Album at the Grammys.
