Season 1 will always be our favourite but Season offered more depth and growth for the characters they were all out of their comfort zone. From their grades, to their parents' intervention, coming out, falling in love and opening up about feelings, first times and a whole lot. It brought in some good drama not just messy scenes that unnecessarily stir the pot with no clear progression or character development.
We saw each character have their lows, especially Charlie with the eating disorder, one would think now that he's dating Nick a guy who loves him he wouldn't be stressed at all but oh my!! Darcy and Tara's relationship was met with a few bumps. We saw new characters like Sebastian, Mr. Farouk who is described as yummy candy by fans. He's very stern. A great counterpart for Mr. Ajayi.
While 8 episodes were enough to take the story forward, they felt short and left us wanting more. It's not every show on TV where you have such diversity and a feeling of nostalgia, watching something that brings the warmth, inspiration in you with characters that are so relatable and realistic. They all have great chemistry from rude boy Ben who seems to be having it hard this season, he's getting rejected by a lot of people,on episode 4 in Paris Imogen breaks up with him for being a bad boyfriend. The Heartstopper sass we didn't know we needed.

Overall it's a good season. Amazing soundtrack, fashion choices and the pacing too felt organic. Elle is so pretty plus her and Tao definitely have amazing chemistry. Tao is refreshing and he's a dream friend. The different conflicting moments explored and the happier tones come together beautifully. We give it a 9.5/10
Because we need more episodes!!
