Not Your Average Gathering. God grooves you into a Happy & New Beginning: From Sorrow to Gladness.

Hosted by Pastor TD Rikhotso and His splendid wife Dr. TG Rikhotso, it was definitely one of the most amazing times I've ever had. A 6am (Friday) to 6pm (Saturday) experience, at times I was intimidated by the hours, I wondered if I had capacity to push for that long and surprise surprise the Lord came through. Upon arrival there was a neat setup, beautiful stage lighting and the cold weather was a thing of the past, having people who are burning hot for God that Satan wouldn't dare lay a finger on them, I'm talking servants who stepped up to praying and leading the ceremony by the grace of God, worship music and being fed the insightful- Effective word of the True and Living God, eye opening revelations and a Christian community building that'll never fall apart, God always hires/appoints the right field workers and gives the best Kingdom resources and material on a Christ foundation. Amen!

The first part of the service had us going into prayer that soon it was 3am and i wondered HOW? because last time I checked it was 7pm and now 3am? I left my phone at home to avoid the urge of constantly checking the hours and anticipating the end of the service instead of just enjoying it. Pastor Rikhotso took centre stage, singing and preaching with Power, he had boldness, a sharp confidence and a radiance that showed He's a man sent by God. Pushing us deeper into prayer, like miners digging for Gold till they find it. We had to be uncomfortable and I must say the words never stopped flowing and room filled with cries for Heaven's intervention.

There was deliverance, prophetic declarations and divine intervention, it was truly powerful to see. What could've been years of bondage - broken, set free and no longer a slave! Dr. TG Rikhotso taught us also about how as Christians we should avoid a life of debt I mean, Christ breaks the chains of slavery so why should we find ourselves in another form of captivity and struggle to find a way out? Even with the little things as airtime, we shouldn't owe service providers. It really showcased that as children of God our lives in every aspect shouldn't be open to anything that will set us back while we declare the true word yet find ourselves living contrary.

For the second event,  it was the last day of Autumn and very cold, of course we had hot beverages (coffee/tea) the occasion was set and the prayers continued, think of a woman in labor pushing and screaming till delivery, it was that kind of setting where we were encouraged to bear fruit and not just settle. Armoured and ready for battle, doing warfare and teachings about Foundational problems, doing research, repenting, rebuking, restoration giving us the 411 on how to identity and deal with problems that passed on, breaking the continuous cycle so we do not find ourselves in agreement and victimized.

She also taught about the importance of how we need to grow and be active in church not just seek the Lord later on in life, for we need spiritual maturity in order to know who and what we're going up against, an experienced fighter is effective in battle than one who is taking baby steps still learning how to swing a sword or know their capabilities. Parenting is another subject where we received insight that children need deep involvement not us having the title of Mother & Father yet we're not raising them; if not they'll be raised by someone else or their surroundings, we need to own up so we know our children because there's the play pretend trick of a well behaved child when you're around and the minute you're not watching they go full into the wild lands, where there's no safety net, they have lack of awareness and guidance. Same goes for what we've been trusted with by God, we can't just be servants without direction we need to step into position and do what we've been called to do than just do church attendance, because we may gather but we need purpose, alignment, oneness. As Pastor Rikhotso shared many churches today gather large audiences and yet our prayers have no effect because there's no agreement/union. We as Christians coming together should bring Heaven on Earth.

Another lesson was about how a man isn't a provider, God is the one who actually provides, so we should lift this heavy burden off of man, a stunning yet accurate revelation, if you check Psalm 95:7. Noting how some things should be best handled by God.

They shared an interesting story about their relationship to teach us about humility and how we shouldn't condemn or be defined by certain situations that happen to us that if we seek the mercy and forgiveness of God, we shouldn't run away in shame or be moved away from Him who has called us but we must be alert, decent and committed to living Holy and Righteous Lives. We had the do gooder guidelines of appropriate interactions to avoid intimate invitations that open a door to the bedroom or unfaithfulness. That we have to pray for a good partner and be able to resist temptation and set respectable boundaries. Handshakes instead of hugs, avoiding flirtatious words (Dear. Lovely. Sweet etc) to avoid giving hints or ideas that may be implemented. Because we may think we have self control, only to find ourselves on a hot date making marriage arrangements. We were encouraged to marry when with the right someone and embrace it. As Pastor Rikhotso said that we all have someone meant for us, referencing Adam & Eve, that alone he was incomplete till Eve came into the picture. Now isn't that interesting? Was literally amazed.

Conversations of dominion that the enemy can speak over land, sea and other elements to curse or hinder the believer, that we need wisdom/knowledge on who we are and how to go up against the forces mentioned in the scriptures and also knowing our playing field, not every enemy is for us, like spirits in high places which require us to ask for divine intervention as Angels could stepbin than for us stand in.

It was truly one of the best experiences ever, it was intense, I'm surprised I didn't sweat because I did see fellow believers take off their jackets during prayer and I was like "Oh this is definitely epic" there were times I felt sleepiness creep in during the day but had to press forward and I must say praying for 24 hours was something I never knew I'd partake in but I'm thankful I got to be part of both events. We had fun, dancing and singing it was truly special and oh my blessed and highly favoured lives will never be the same because God came through, His ways never fail. A big thank you to Grace Church Of God.
