Entertainment Avenue: The Durban July

The annual stylish and racing Hollywood Bets Durban July returned after a 2 year hiatus this past weekend and our favorite stars served stunning looks from Anele Mdoda, Lasizwe, Somizi Zola Nombona & More. The theme was Show Me The Honey and let's get to it.


Usually broadcast on our tv screens this time around that wasn't the case even though the social streets were buzzing with the Durban July trending on different platforms. We miss the days of the Real Goboza when we'd have the fashion panel share insight into their favourite looks and the ones they don't like at all. Sinazo & Samora please revive the segment, create a YouTube channel or something, we'll be here for it.

Usually having a theme and everyone contacting the best designer in and out of the country months before...it sure has everyone excited to showcase their outfit and this year we saw more brighter colours as if Spring has Sprung. While some kept the balance with black and white numbers. It looks the country is really going back to normal, post COVID feels great unless we talk about load Shedding. While there's dress to impress there's also horse racing, talk about placing your bet, sipping some champagne, mingling and living the lush life.
