This week we have Keen9 who's best known for his collaborative work with Reya Ray & his distinct style.

We had a little chat with a nice game to top things off.

McKing:What are you currently working on and what can we expect?

Keen9: The past few weeks of June we had a camp Me, TashMalikk and Reya Ray working new bacadi vibes n' piano....we're in the process, we created (one) afro pop mapiano vibe song which Tash plans to drop sometime soon.

McKing: Looking forward to it. And what did you learn from that camp? Anything new you discovered about yourself and your artistry?

Keen9: Non' I can say about myself , well as for the artistry ofcourse everytime you work with other artists there are always lessons and growth out of it. I'd say I've grown in that regard.

McKing: That's awesome. You recently released a record; The Stars are Out...

What inspired it?

Keen9:Oh yes 😄, in actuality its Metsi's song featuring me. What I can say is..The Stars Are Out Tonight is more like you might be with somebody or want to be with somebody and there's always something that gets in between; it's either your fight or it's never the right time for y'all to be together. All kinds of possibilities into different situations, it was that thing of, tonight let's leave our problems or let's act like things are working out. Let's enjoy life and gaze at the stars. 

McKing: Beautifully said. Perfect description to good music is a draw in..

Who is your celebrity crush? 

Keen9: When it comes to that subject I don't know, many people don't believe this but I don't have a crush there was a point in time where I used to like crush on that one and that one or simply be like that one if I can like meet her, but right now I don't know with time as we grow musically. Understanding the industry and how things work and seeing how much work, effort that's needed: I really don't have time for that I just see people that are gonna be colleagues. Some of them you meet them and find that you thought of them in a certain way but they are basic and some of them don't have the qualities of the people you have around you, they're just living a life that's put up there. I'm someone who doesn't really like fake as I've grown through the years it made to no longer have celebrity crushes and it's crazy how I'm never start struck whenever I come across any celebrity. I keep my cool and if they ever wanna interact I'm down to. Nothing more. 

McKing: Wow that's a profound realization and growth. What was it like working with him on the song?

Keen9: Its always great man already worked with him 4 times. 

McKing: And back to the camp; can you share any favourite lyric or a teaser of what to expect?

Keen 9: 

McKing: 5 things you can't go a day without?

Keen9: Food(my stomach is picky though), Thanking the one that gives me stretch to keep going, doing a good gesture, talking to my significant other and listening to music.

McKing: It is a hard one, here's a clue she's one of the best and fastest selling artists. The media always accuses her of profiting off her exes. She collaborated with Kendrick Lamar & Ed Sheeran.
