Entertainment Avenue: Shows That Shouldn't Have Been Cancelled

Image
Entertainment Avenue: Shows That Shouldn't Have Been Cancelled   This week on Entertainment Avenue we talk about the shows that didn't deserve the big boot.  1. Dynasty On The CW Starring: Grant Show. Sam Adegoke. Elizabeth Gillies. Elaine Hendrix It's such a good show, smart, witty and brilliant writing that you can't help but appreciate. Yes Season 1 is the blueprint but this show deserved so much more. It's a guilty pleasure we enjoyed. 5 seasons isn't enough. The Carrington & Colby drama is something we are going to miss. As for Fallon & Liam? True romance, lighting up our screens. We hope someone somewhere out there will revive this show because it was just getting more and more interesting. Official Trailer   2. Durban Gen Starring: Nyaniso N Dzedze. Nelisiwe Sibiya. Mike Dlangamandla.  It was highly anticipated and premiered to massive reception but overtime fans and critics started questioning the storylines as they seemed ...

Avenue Music: Piano Hour by Reya Ray (Review)

Image
Avenue Music: Piano Hour by Reya Ray  As promised it's finally here in celebration of his acclaimed single Ngwana Mopulana . Piano Hour serves lengthy bops that satisfy the dancefloor moves and good time vibes. Most of the tracks are with frequent collaborators such as Keen9 & Tash Malikk. Our favorite song is Kedibone  featuring KB Master, Thati T, Lesyara Lesco. TpeeAs & Tash Malikk.   it's one you can't help but immediately fall in love with. It carries the right arrangement and settles you in for a good time, every artist gets a chance to stand out and blend well with others. Stunning word play and beautiful pacing.  Bula Hennessy  is amapiano gold. Reya Ray flows like he's in familiar territory. His versatility as an artist actually shines. It's commercial and like a glass of champagne it's just lush.  Di Putso  on this one you're taken on a journey with a soothing instrumentation that's eargasm at its best. Reya gets sent...

Avenue Music: T Dawg Phara

Image
Avenue Music: T Dawg's Sophomore; Phara (Review) T Dawg released his second studio album Phara which he teased during the beginning of the year till its release. Doing well on the charts such as Spotify and receiving impressive reception from peers and listeners, it's a promising offering. Will it be a step from his debut which packs a massive punch and if you haven't listened to it. We suggest you do, available on all streaming platforms.  The title track is quite something else, has a hard hitting groovy beat as T Dawg addresses critics and acknowledges him. Ear friendly arrangement while carrying this classic tone to it.  Facts has a jazzy arrangement to it. It's sounds more fun and colourful, with him switching and showing impressive vocal delivery. This is one of the Standout tracks.  Ntwe Boyima is another pleasant surprise, still carrying the dark atmosphere, T Dawg goes on about struggles in life on the trippy beat. Which gives you that dazed effec...

Entertainment Avenue: Blood & Water Season 2 (Review)

Image
Entertainment Avenue: Blood & Water Season 2 (Review. The Late Edition) It follows the story of a young woman who uncovers are powerful secret about what happened to her sister and it's stepping in dangerous waters because she can smell the blood as Puleng has to swim with the sharks with her confidant Wade. The first season was acclaimed and award winning. Season 2 picks up where Season 1 left off and Puleng is still determined to uncover the truth no matter what it takes.  We also get to learn more about Reece and my my my was I surprised to see her as a brunette. It gave her a more warm feel while the blonde served bad girl energy but the new color actually expressed her further. She's a survivor among rich friends even though she could end up arrested. Her storyline is just getting started and we cannot wait for the turnout.  I felt Fikile was emotionally active. She's one character who you don't wanna see sad. Her new love interest offered her an es...

Avenue Music: Gift Of Africa - Living Waters (Review)

Image
Avenue Music: Gift Of Africa - Living Waters Here's one thee most hard working DJs and producers. Gift Of Africa keeps serving project after project to international acclaim. From strong performances on platforms such as Shazam, Spotify and more you can tell he's making music no one wants to miss out on. Living Waters is a 3 track project that gives you his very best. Let's get to it.  Algorithm is club magic. It's a beatboxing refreshment with popping melody that tones into a dance atmosphere.  Cascade  follows the same nature of being a more upmarket sound. It serves dine, get together and chill vibes. Stay has to be my favorite, at first play I immediately fell in love with it. It's got this feel good touch to it, you can get thinking that this must be a love song before the slightly distorted vocals jump in.  These songs have minimal to no vocal assistance but still are powerful enough to work your emotions and get you in zone. That's good musi...

Avenue Music: Emails I Can't Send by Sabrina Carpenter   July 15, Sabrina Carpenter released her long awaited 5th studio album which contains the singles: Skinny Dipping. Fast Times & Because I Liked a Boy. Different arrangements, mood and laid-back tones, sexy/sultry electric and records that make you wanna head to the country and breath in the fresh air and bask in the sun not forgetting the dark moments addressed on here. Let's get to it. Fast Times was listed at #2 on the best songs of 2022 so far...by us of course. It's such a charming record, memorable and elegant. James Bond this is your new theme song.  Because I Liked a Boy serves as the third single. With an arrangement that is different and grows on you as she sings her heart out about a love triangle she got bullied for, goes back to speculation that she's the blonde girl Olivia Rodrigo mentions on the first verse and this sparked an online wildfire when Carpenter released Skin which was ...
