Entertainment Avenue: Blood & Water Season 2 (Review)

Entertainment Avenue: Blood & Water Season 2 (Review. The Late Edition)

It follows the story of a young woman who uncovers are powerful secret about what happened to her sister and it's stepping in dangerous waters because she can smell the blood as Puleng has to swim with the sharks with her confidant Wade. The first season was acclaimed and award winning. Season 2 picks up where Season 1 left off and Puleng is still determined to uncover the truth no matter what it takes.

We also get to learn more about Reece and my my my was I surprised to see her as a brunette. It gave her a more warm feel while the blonde served bad girl energy but the new color actually expressed her further. She's a survivor among rich friends even though she could end up arrested. Her storyline is just getting started and we cannot wait for the turnout.

I felt Fikile was emotionally active. She's one character who you don't wanna see sad. Her new love interest offered her an escape from her changing reality. It was nice to see her smiling, laughing and in love.

Chris wasn't as wild as last time but we saw a caring Chris with abandonment issues, parents who are never home. It made us see him in a different light and his vibe with Wendy, so unexpected but works. The library meets the party. Not an everyday thing.

And I must say Puleng & Her mother gave us a great tension story. I enjoyed their trades. It had so much depth to it. KB, Wade & Puleng served love triangle energy with insecurities flying around. Wade finally got the girl but it looks like Puleng isn't over KB and with the new discovery of who the mystery woman is, won't it just bring them closer? Overall Season 2 feels different and while enjoyable the pacing feels slow unlike the previous Season. It was more of like a chapter where everyone is vulnerable and going through something there was hardly any fun without tragedy. The cliffhanger has us all scared for Puleng, the secret is out. They're sisters and everyone who wants to tell is either silenced or loses key evidence. Renewed for a third season with new additions such as Mpho Sibeko. Sonia Mbele &. With a first look revealed during the first part of the year. Showing an envious KB looking at his old flame as they walk into another dangerous adventure maybe or they're just going to get something to drink.

We score it a 4/5. The soundtrack is outstanding. While it wasn't as intense it sure served massive drama. Clever writing, strong performances and stunning cinematography.
