Avenue Lifestyle: Eating Disorders

Image
Avenue Lifestyle: Eating Disorders Welcome back to Avenue Lifestyle. Happy Women's Month. We are getting in a very uncomfortable and notorious conversation which is eating disorders but this time around we're aiming towards influences. What do we feed our minds, hearts, out entire being and surroundings? We have to draw inspiration/motivation somewhere and that often has a big turn out on how we express ourselves. Our fluency is important. Moderate consumption, over the top, bare minimum or nothing at all.  Many people find it easy to digest bad news. Negative comments, hostility and toxic traits that they welcome them in, host them and then throw a massive pity party. This is caused by us having a point of reference or recognizing what is normal and accommodating it. There's a good guy who treats you right but you're not familiar with that so you reject him or friend zone him. Then comes the one you should run from, the warning signs to you are relatable so you draw cl...

This is His Story: Born Gift Russell Selomi in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, Gift of Africa is a versatile DJ, Record Producer and a Remixer. The Love for music started at an early age when I was about 5 years old, usually as kids grow up playing (with) toys I was different, I played with oil tins as drums and I'd sing along, I even had a homemade guitar once, made of fishing line and an oil tin and I'd wake up early in the morning and blast out the yard with noise, hahaha (laughs). Well it all started with my dad as he's a Music lover, I listened to lot of his Records and the love for music started there...I listened to the likes of Spokes H, Mdu, Brenda Fassie back in the days around 1998 and early 2000s, remember kwaito was dominating the most that time.  ...

Avenue Music: Leigh-Anne serves Some Good R&B with Don't Say Love

Image
Avenue Music: Don't Say Love (R&B version) by Leigh-Anne PhotoCred: LeighAnneMusic on Twitter  After an impressive and acclaimed rollout for her debut single Leigh-Anne has been known for teasing R&B records especially with her solo career but Don't Say Love was more experimental for her as it was more dance dark with interesting elements beautifully infused to create the perfect pop record with a fashion forward stunning visual that showcases an evolution. The R&B version is more sultry soulful and sweet as it's giving early 2000s vibes, especially sounds like a stripped sister of Say My Name by Destiny's Child. Leigh Anne showcases her versatility and she definitely shines. The original will always be a winner as it's such a memorable and catchy record with class ans charisma.                          Official Artwork. We give the R&B version 5/5 for her vocal delivery. Entertainment Avenue: My SummerSlam Picks

Image
Entertainment Avenue: My Picks - SummerSlam Moments PhotoCred: WWE Welcome to my picks where I share my weekly picks ranging from movies, music, fashion and more. This week it's my favourite SummerSlam moments, let's get into it. SummerSlam is like WrestleMania's brother. It's an EPIC event with celebrity guest appearances or major storylines taking place. One of the WWE's top well known PLE. Let's get to it. PhotoCred: WWE 1. John Cena Vs AJ Styles Hard hitting match. These two wrestlers brought the heat with great in-ring chemistry and bringing some interesting moves to their usual set. John Cena was still the face of the company at that time and AJ was still fresh in the WWE scene, we even had the classic Beat Up John Cena phrase which was popular among fans. They definitely had an engaging rivalry that brought out the best in each other.  John Cena vs AJ Styles  2. Kevin Rudolf performing Don't Give Up  What...

Avenue Sports: Jey Uso Vs Roman Reigns!

Image
Avenue Sports: Jey Uso Vs Roman Reigns In a Tribal Combat Match! PhotoCred: WWE  This is one of the most highly anticipated matches on the card as the bloodline is falling apart, one of the most engaging factions in sports entertainment today. It looks like Roman is running out of blood as there's a spill and could it be the end of the line? Could Jey Uso reach the finish as Champion? PhotoCred: @WWE Because he was the one to end Roman's undefeated streak at Money In The Bank. The stakes are high and it's nail-biting, gripping, edge of your seat content as anything can happen, it feels unpredictable. A Roman Reigns match where you can't be certain he'll walk in and and still be champion when he leaves. Jey is so adored by the fans and he has a strong backing, Roman has top heel energy from receiving You Deserve It chants after an astonishing super kick from Jey during an intense confrontation weeks ago on SmackDown.  ...

Pop Essentials: The Show By Girls Aloud

Image
Pop Essentials: The Show By Girls Aloud PhotoCred: Polydor The Show is a synth pop record released in 2004 by Girls Aloud it serves as the lead single for their sophomore album What With The Neighbours say produced by Brian Higgins & Xenomania. It received positive reviews from critics and has a few accolades having being named one of the best records on that year.  The song is very unique with it's own nature not using the usual verse to chorus formula. The harmonies are truly outstanding especially on the refrain which is sensual, playful and cheeky in a way. Their blend so well together it's definitely a highlight.  Lyrically it's about saying no to sex or one night stands, as they lay down the law in a playful yet stern manner. As they want the men to wait.  The electro moments throughout the song are groovy and the middle 8 with Sarah's high notes is the cherry on top. It's one of their Amazing records next to Biology.  We give it 5/5 it's a...

Avenue Sports: WWE'S Women's Division

Image
Avenue Sports: Women's Division   PhotoCred: @ImChelseaGreen In Pro Wrestling the women's division hasn't been given proper focus. It's only companies like Impact that definitely give their women a chance to shine as seen throughout the years.  In WWE things seem to get better only to get worse. The inconsistencies and how most women barely have storylines and the way they're badly booked. A lot of women haven't been in action in awhile and we keep seeing the same faces on both Raw & SmackDown. The title opportunities circulate around the same people that it's getting too predictable and doesn't help the product.  The women's tag team titles were met with controversy in may last year after Sasha Banks/ Mercedes KV & Naomi/Trinity Fatu walked out during an episode of Monday Night Raw after being displeased with what was proposed for them. We see the same thing happening with Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville. A legit tag team with ...

Avenue Music: Lauren Jauregui's Finest

Image
Avenue Music: Lauren Jauregui - The One  PhotoCred: Lauren Jauregui   Lauren Jauregui released her sophomore project titled In Between. One of the stand out songs on there is The One. A pop sultry record with latin tones to it. Lyrically it's about a relationship with inconsistencies, insecurities, romantic offers and clarification. As Lauren sings she can't be bought she can only be loved and words aren't all that without the actions. From start to finish the song has some really stunning moments through vocals and instrumentation. It has this classic arrangement to it yet appeals with freshness. We absolutely adore the chorus. It's charged up, makes you wanna salsa and also catchy. "You say that I'm the one yeah yeah so show me that you love me yeah yeah, don't need your money Nah Nah that ain't the way you keep me my love" - Lauren sings on the chorus.  In Between is available on all streaming platforms. With singles such as Always L...

Avenue Music: Zyle's New Romance is Sweeter than Marshmallows!

Image
Avenue Music: Zyle Ft. Bongi Mathlabane - Mtofotofo  Zyle never disappoints and this new love song is an anthem for the heart. Great vocal chemistry between him and Bongi. Smooth stringing arrangements thanks to Candisonic. The song is a 5/5.  It's songs like these that remind us of why Zyle is one of the most outstanding independent artists of this generation. While we're still waiting for a follow-up to Patience (EP) his droplet era is truly something special. He has released love songs and each one has its own standout moment. Never bland.                      Official Artwork. Official Audio Avenue Music. Only Good Music..
