In Pro Wrestling the women's division hasn't been given proper focus. It's only companies like Impact that definitely give their women a chance to shine as seen throughout the years.
In WWE things seem to get better only to get worse. The inconsistencies and how most women barely have storylines and the way they're badly booked. A lot of women haven't been in action in awhile and we keep seeing the same faces on both Raw & SmackDown. The title opportunities circulate around the same people that it's getting too predictable and doesn't help the product.
The women's tag team titles were met with controversy in may last year after Sasha Banks/ Mercedes KV & Naomi/Trinity Fatu walked out during an episode of Monday Night Raw after being displeased with what was proposed for them. We see the same thing happening with Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville. A legit tag team with all the right qualities just lost to an unlikely pairing of Bianca Bel-air and Charlotte which didn't help strengthen their reign at all. Again the Women's tag team division is used to enhance the other main titles and carry out the tension for another match (WWE Women's Championship triple threat match)

What could be the problem? Don't they believe in their women? It would be nice to watch an episode of SmackDown or Raw have more women in matches or even mixed tag matches and not just 3 minute matches, more promos and feuds that don't require titles.

Rhea Ripley isn't even defending her title as she should. Her reign doesn't have any impact or help elevate her or the other women. The expectation isn't met as fans were excited but now are surprised by how she's more involved with the men. Is she even going to compete at SummerSlam? Not at all as it looks like she'll be sitting this one out.

We haven't seen Emma, Teagan Nox and others in awhile. It's always great to see Charlotte, Bianca and the other regulars but if they're always dominating the title scene or the opportunities then why have more women and not use them? The men are booked better and the women deserve better too. This past Monday on an episode of Raw the highly anticipated match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus was moved to raw and will no longer be part of the SummerSlam lineup. With a good build up only to get sidelined.
It would be nice to see a celebrity like Jordin Sparks or Cardi B challenge someone like Natalya or Carmella for a match at SummerSlam. As did Maria Menounos at WrestleMania when she teamed up with Kelly Kelly against Eve Torres & Beth Phoenix.
The random pairings and how teams quickly lose the tag team titles or disband is just alarming. Natalya has teamed up with Shayna, Tamina, Shotzi and it just abruptly ends. Give the women's division a chance. Yes women have main evented WrestleMania and had lengthy well received matches but not everyone has had that experience.
What's your take on the matter?
