My Top 5 Picks: Series Edition
Entertainment Avenue: My Top 5 Series Picks for this Week
We all love some good drama that has us gasping in shock, clutching your chest or choking on your food or a good hearted show that melts your worries away and has you feeling good and serving you some medicine with laughter or maybe some blood rushing, spine chilling delivery that has you screaming your lungs out? Hoping for a superhero to step in? Or you can just turn off the tv but you can't help but binge watch.
Here my series picks for this week.
1. Dynasty - a reboot of the classic. This revamped show focuses on Fallon Carrington portrayed by the adored Elizabeth Gillies. It's Glamorous, Powerful. Dramatic & Daring. This show offers you soap opera magic and charm that'll have you binge watching nonstop. It's so toxic, you'll love to hate them. (Featuring: Grant Show, Elaine Hendrix, Daniella Alonso & Robert Christopher Riley) to name a few. It's available on Netflix. Do check it out.

Could the famous Fikile Bele be her sister or she's just longing for a happy ending for her family? Puleng's hunt will have you on the edge of your seat, you'll feel every moment with her, the frustration, the excitement, the curiosity and determination.

3. Titans - At first I thought it would be campy and fun but oh my... Titans is on the edge, gripping and intense kind of superhero entertainment. It has a dark setting that gives you the drama, chills and wonder of what's coming next. It stays true to it's source material. If you're ready to watch heroes save the day not in your usual setting then Titans is thee must watch. You can stream it on HBO Max. Starring: Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Potter.

4. Love, Victor - It's family friendly and highly relatable. Victor is one character who's struggling with his sexuality and as he figures himself out, he makes a few choices that seem right at the start but prove him wrong, he asks for Simon's help, who shares his good advice. Love Victor is funny, drama filled and has a beautiful energy that pulls you in to the characters. Currently on Season 2. Starring: Michael Cimino, Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding, Ana Ortiz.

5. Batwoman - I know...I know...the first season wasn't loved by many but it offered a good kickoff for our favorite Gotham vigilante but unfortunately Ruby Rose pulled out and Javicia Leslie stepped in as Ryan Wilder an original character for the song created to replace Kate Kane. The second Season gave us more than we hoped for and it was pretty damn good. Characters like Ocean, Victor Szaas, Safiyah brought an interesting element and the tension with the bat team was popcorn gold. The third Season kicked off on the US network The CW. Starring: Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy.
