Sunday nights used to be movie nights as we watched international blockbusters from classics to recent offerings but times have changed as the 8 o'clock slot is packed with gripping drama on Channels; Mzansi Magic (161), etv (194,104) & SABC 1 (191,101) each offering stories that bring a dose of intensity. Umbuso stars Sandile Mahlangu as there's loss experienced and its impact is so great: it breaks you down. Side Dish gives you an aftermath of what they did and one is a fugitive, life on the run isn't smooth as survival leads to ditching the glamorous life and standing on your own two feet. starring Jo-Anne Reyneke. Isiphindiselo is more on the side of revenge, first premiered on eVOD, a young man's dreams are shattered as he ends up behind bars for a crime he didn't commit, sometimes blood stained means guilty. We're not gonna be having tomato sauce anytime soon. (Ok fine, bad joke) starring Zamani Mbatha.  these shows are so good you'll either change channels when they go to an ad-break or stick to one because they each offer a draw in of intense tragedy, survival and a struggle of carrying on after severe events.
