Avenue Lifestyle: After The Weekdays

Welcome to the After the Weekdays article. It's that time again where the working days are done and it's the weekend. Some have plans to go out and party, check in resorts relax and enjoy the moment.

While some are worried about their electricity bills, rent is due and they feel a great pressure that is a threat to their peace and focus. Going to work with heavyweight on your shoulders and all you can think about is how you need to make more money, you're distracted and aren't at all coping with everything. You feel like you're earning peanuts and can barely afford to meet up to the standard of living.

Or you're unemployed, at home. Everyone is going out and you don't want to be a leech, that friend whom they have to buy food and drinks for, pay for your movie ticket. You keep to yourself because hey you don't want to be that someone only for you to beat yourself up about how you're not making progress, you feel stuck. Instead of an empowering action plan you just throw a pity party. Crying and feeling down.

No matter the situation you can always try to fight back and not allow yourself to subscribe to depression because you'll become dull, uninspired, demotivated and unproductive. So try to channel and give yourself the good stuff. So you can create opportunities for yourself or keep hunting for a job. 100 companies could turn you down but keep it moving. There's always something for everyone.

Stop belittling your efforts. Celebrate even the losses because you can see you are taking steps even if you're not getting the desired results, move forward in success because just because it didn't work, doesn't mean you're a failure. Be good to yourself during the struggling and most challenging moments of your life. We don't love and hype ourselves only when we're winning and are showered with confetti.

So if you lost that job, relationship, business or aren't getting the funding yet doesn't mean it's the end of the line. Endurance is necessary. What you see as stagnation at times could be a process of transformation taking place in you so that when you're ready you excel. You could be at home doing chores not seeing that you're being prepared to be a CEO. Foreshadowing is always there in our settings. Don't undermine it.

Stop with the limitations and allowing the small salary...big financial needs get to you. Yes the family needs this, you need this. It's frustrating. You're working well with the little you have. You should be proud of yourself because even when you weren't a millionaire you showed up and provided. You met the need. You did your best. I commend you for that.

So this weekend don't feel sorry for yourself because more responsibilities are on your shoulders and you are suffocating, no take on the duty with a positive assurance of "I'm capable and I will be able to feed nations, create jobs"
If nothing seems to be going right. Maybe the direction you're taking is the one but you're in a space of impatience. Find out where you currently are, be aware. There are stages of growth that at times have us isolated so we get to learn so much without distractions. "I may be confused, hurt right now but it's all working out" empower yourself to acknowledge your bright future and if you're a believer, what better way to ask God to help you. For He won't hesitate. He's always there. His plans are to prosper you. (Jeremiah 29:11) I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

So you see? You're in Good hands.
