TEXT: [NLT] JAMES 1:3-4
For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.

Faith will always get to a testing point and at that point, pressure, challenges and trials are the things that will carry out the test. Faith is what gives your endurance the chance to grow and fully develop. Until your endurance grow and develop fully, you can never be strong in character and be ready for anything. God has a way of building up a man to be ready for anything and that's by putting his faith to test. God will put your faith to test just as He put the faith of Abraham to test. In [NLT] Genesis 22:1, the Bible says; Later on God tested Abraham's faith and obedience. "Abraham!" God called. "Yes," he replied. "Here I am." God knew Abraham had strong faith in Him and was very obedient to Him but his faith and obedience still had to be tested so that he can strong in character and be ready for anything.


In [AMP] Philippians 4:13, Apostle Paul says; I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. Apostle Paul could boldly make the statement above because his faith had been tested over time. Apostle Paul was ready for anything and equal to anything because through the test of his faith, he had obtained strength for all things in Christ. What guarantees success when your faith is put to test is your endurance. Endurance is what makes you strong in character and be ready for anything. There is an assignment before you that only the endurance that will develop through the test of your faith will make you accomplish.

According to the focal scripture for today's devotional message, the Bible elucidates how when your faith is tested, your endurance will have a chance to grow. God is interested in the growth of your endurance and that's why He will push what will make it grow and develop fully towards you so that you can end up being strong in character. God can call a weak man into fulfilling His mandate but will definitely train him for the mandate by putting his faith to test. The training you will go through for you to be ready for anything God will commit into your hands is the test of faith. God will test your faith and your obedience just to help you outgrow your weaknesses and your fears. When God puts your faith to test, your endurance has the chance to grow. So let it grow so that when your endurance is fully developed, you can be strong in character and ready for anything.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your Word. Now that I know that the training I will have to go through to be ready for anything You will commit into my hands is the test of faith. Please Lord, help me to let my endurance grow when my faith and obedience is put to test so that I can end up being strong in character and be ready for anything in Jesus name.
