PsychUp - OCD
OCD or Obsessive-compulsive is a disorder in which people have recurring, unwanted thoughts, ideas or sensations referred to as obsessions that make them feel driven to do something repetitively, which is referred compulsions. The repetitive behaviours can significantly interfere with a person’s daily activities and social interactions. These behaviours are different and are based on what the obsession may be. behaviours such as such as hand washing, checking on things or cleaning are a few examples of compulsive behaviours.
Someone might say that they constantly wash their hands or constantly check if the door is locked, but in order for a repetitive behaviour to become a disorder, it needs to be uncontrollable and disrupt their everyday life. For instance, someone who has issues with washing their hands may repeat the behaviour until they start having a burning feeling. another example is someone who keeps checking if the door is locked; this may seem okay to deal with until one cannot fully fall asleep because they want to check the door every five minute.
That's pretty much the tip of OCD
