Crush Of The Week: Johnny Gargano


This week we feature a pro wrestling star who has captured not just gold but the hearts of fans around the world. Let's get to it. 

Johnny Gargano (Born: John Anthony Nicholas Gargano) is an American Professional Wrestler currently signed to the WWE and performs under the RAW brand. He has numerous accomplishments throughout his career such as becoming a triple crown champion. He has been part of other brands such as TNA/ Impact wrestling, Evolve & Ring Of Honor. Married to fellow wrestler Candice LeRae Gargano.

His journey started at the age of 8 when he stepped into the squared circle at Cleveland All Pro Wrestling. He went to wrestling school to know his way around the ring and become a professional wrestler. Trained by J.T Lightning & Josh Prohibition. This was only the beginning for this fan favorite. 

After working on the independent scene, he joined NXT where he went on to gain further recognition and work with stars like Tommaso Ciampa as the tag team DIY (capturing the NXT Tag Team titles) only to end up feuding. During his time in NXT he also won the North American Championship and the NXT championship becoming a triple crown champion.  In December 2021 his contract expired and he chose not to renew with the intention of being a present father. 

On August 2022 he made a long awaited return to WWE during an episode of Monday night Raw. Where he addressed the universe before being interrupted by his former protege Austin Theory who took shots at him only to get a memorable superkick and pop from the crowd. 2 weeks later with promo for his first match since his big return, he faced Chad Cable and won the match only to be attacked by Mr. Money In The Bank, sparking the feud further and recently teamed up with Kevin Owens to take on Alpha Academy. 

We are so excited that he's back where he belongs and man oh man, he knows how to put on a show in the ring, given the opportunity.
