Faith Avenue: A Product Of God's Help

THEME: A PRODUCT OF GOD'S HELP!
TEXT: [NKJV] JOHN 5:8-9
Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." [9] And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.


A product of God's help is a result or an evidence of God's help. When the help of God is released to a man and that help successfully delivers solution to the unpleasant situation affecting him, then he can indeed be regarded as a product of God's help. When the help of God is released to the advantage of a man that has been disadvantaged, the result that follows becomes so evident that the man himself and other people around him would recognize that it is God that has indeed showed up for him. The help of God is the solution provided by God and released to solve or fix the problems of an helpless or a disadvantaged man.


When God sends help to a man and the help turns his unpleasant situation to a pleasant one, then the man would cease to be an object of ridicule and become a product of God's help because he has been helped by God. In Psalm 126:1-2, the Psalmist said; When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. [2] Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." The word "The LORD has done great things for them" means the LORD has come through for them, the LORD has showed up for them and that the LORD has marvelously helped them. It was the great things that the Lord did for Zion that made them a product of His help.


According to the focal scripture for today's devotional message, the Bible postulates how Jesus helped a man that was helpless for thirty-eight years and the man suddenly became a product of God's help. Just as it takes a factory to transform raw materials into finished goods, so also it takes the help of God to transform an helpless or a disadvantaged man into a man helped and highly favored. A man that has found help and favour in the sight of God is a product of God's help. Products of God's help are men that became who they are by the help of God and possessed all that they have through the help of God. The help of God can make you who God wants you to be and it can also give you all the blessings that has your name written on them. It is when you become who God wants you to be and have all that He has in store for you that you can indeed be regarded as a product of His help. To become a product of God's help, expect the help that you need from Him alone and He will come through for you.


PRAYER: Father, I thank You for Your Word. Now that I know that to become a product of Your help, there is need for me to expect the help from You alone and You will come through for me. Please Lord, transform me from being an object of ridicule to a product of Your help so that I can become an evidence that You can help an helpless and a disadvantaged man in Jesus Christ name.
