TEXT: [AMP] PROVERBS 8:17
I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me.





Everybody loves talking about seeking God but nobody actually wants to seek Him the way it ought to be. Seeking God must be done early and diligently. To seek God early is to seek Him without any desperation or urgency. God doesn't want seekers who just want to seek Him because they need help or anything from Him only but also wants seekers who wants to seek Him because of their desire and willingness to have a relationship and fellowship with Him. Seeking God early is simply seeking Him before any trouble or need would make you run to call upon Him. God doesn't want seekers who will wait till they are in trouble before they come seeking His face rather He wants seekers who will seek Him even when they have nothing to worry about.

To seek God diligently, you must do it believing and putting your wholehearted trust in Him. Seeking God diligently is a work that requires waiting and patience. An instance of seeking God diligently is waiting upon Him. In [MSB] Isaiah 40:31a, the Bible says; But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. To get fresh strength from God, you have to seek Him diligently by waiting upon Him. It is when you seek God diligently that you will find the things that will help you to stand firm in His will for your life. Holding on to God and to His will for your life will require a lot of strength and you will need to seek Him diligently for fresh strength to be released upon you so that you can trust Him enough till you find what you need from Him. Strength to trust God is the first release you will get while seeking Him before all other things will be added to you.

According to the focal scripture for today's devotional message the Bible elucidates how you must seek God as a Christ believer. You must seek God early and seek Him diligently. Seeking God early is very important. You don't just run to God when you need help but before you will ever need help. When you learn to seek God early, you may not even need to run to Him for help because He would have helped you to be at a distance to the trouble that would be making you to run to Him. You don't need to run to God when you are actually with Him and very much close to Him. You have to seek God early and diligently to be able to stick with Him so that what is making others run to Him for emergency help would have been sorted out because you have sought Him earlier and diligently enough. When you seek God early, He tends to sort things faster than you can ever imagine. Therefore, if you really want God to always show up for you and sort things out faster, then you have to seek Him early and diligently.



PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your Word. Now that I know that I have to seek God early and diligently to be able to stick with Him so that what is making others run to Him for emergency help would have been sorted out. Please Lord, help me to seek You early and diligently so that You can always show up and come through for me faster than I can ever imagine in Jesus Christ name.
