DIVINE CONNECTION DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY OLADELE T•E
THEME: ONE "NO" AND ONE "YES"!
TEXT: [MSB] ROMANS 5:19
One man said no to God and put many people in the wrong; one man said yes to God and put many in the right.
Salvation is an amazing work done by Christ that got everyone in the wrong to be translated into the right. Through Adam, mankind entered into the wrong while through Christ, mankind entered into the right. The wrong is the route of sin that Adam took through disobedience to God while the right is the route of righteousness that Christ took through obedience to God. Adam was the man that took every man through the route of sin and that got everyone in the wrong. Christ was the man that took every man through the route of righteousness and that got everyone who believes in what He has done in the right. Adam said "No" to God and that got the human race into sin. Christ said "Yes" to God and that got the human race into the righteousness of God.
According to the focal scripture for today's devotional message, the Bible elucidates how by one man who said "No" to God, everyone was put in the wrong and also by one man who said "Yes" to God, everyone was put in the right. There was one "No" and there was one "Yes" that determined how every man's stand with God is. Any man still saying "No" to God will keep being in the wrong while any man that is saying "Yes" to God will keep being in the right. Your "No" to God is simply your act of disobedience to Him while your "Yes" is simply your act of obedience to Him. Every act of disobedience is indicated on the record of sin while every act of obedience is indicated on the record of righteousness. The only way to start saying "Yes" to God is to follow the man that said that one "Yes" to God and He will pull you out of the wrong and establish you in the right.
Just one "Yes" to God is enough to clean up your record of sin. Just one "Yes" to God is enough to justify you of the guilts and shame that sin brought upon you. You are not in the wrong because you are the one that said "No" to God. Just one man said "No" to God and that got every man that came after him in the wrong. The same applies to being in the right. You are not going to be in the right because you are the one that said "Yes" to God. Jesus is that one man that said "Yes" to God and by His obedient response to God, every man that comes right after Him will be in right. Who is the man you are following? Is it the man that said "No" to God or the man that said "Yes" to God?
You can come out of the wrong and step into the right. Just follow the man who said that one "Yes" to God and you will be established in the right which is the righteousness of God.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your Word. Now that I know that Adam said "No" to God and that got the human race into sin. Christ said "Yes" to God and that got the human race into the righteousness of God. Please Lord, establish me in the right (in your righteousness) so that the record indicating my disobedient responses to You can be erased completely in Jesus Christ name.
