If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The potency of prayer is in its fervency and by the fervency of your prayers, certain protocols can be broken completely in and around your life. Prayer can break the protocol of misfortune, the protocol of unproductivity and also the protocol of affliction. Anytime a man is afflicted or a land is afflicted, one of the weapons to utilize to ensure that the protocol of affliction is broken completely is to turn to God in the place of prayer. When prayers are made to God, there is no protocol of affliction that can still stand to keep inflicting pain and sorrow upon you. The only way affliction can cease to inflict pain and sorrow upon a man is when he sets himself up to pray fervently.

According to the focal scripture for today's devotional message, the Bible elucidates how God highlighted what needs to be done for any protocol of affliction to be broken. God demands humility, prayer and genuine repentance for the protocol of affliction to be broken completely. Humility and genuine repentance will definitely make your prayers fervent and effectual enough to command a divine intervention. The prayer of a sinner and the prayer of a man full of pride is an abomination to the Lord. So to break the protocol of affliction, you have to humble yourself, turn from your wicked ways and turn to God. When you humble yourself before the Lord and you turn from your wicked ways just to turn to Him, there is absolutely nothing you can present before Him in prayers that He won't favourably consider.

The fire of affliction can be extinguished through prayers but before that can happen, humility and genuine repentance must have been in place. What makes affliction to thrive the most is sin and pride and once these two can be dealt with appropriately, then you can be rest assured that there is no protocol of affliction that can stand to keep on inflicting pain and sorrow upon you. This season, God is very much interested in breaking rigid protocols that is making you regret existing. No protocol of affliction can escape the potency of fervent prayers. Do you want your fervent prayers to be potent enough to break every protocol of affliction in and around your life? PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your Word. Now that I know that no protocol of affliction can escape the potency of fervent prayers. Please Lord, help me to humble myself before You and turn from my wicked ways so that as I begin to pray, every protocol of affliction can be broken completely in Jesus Christ name.
