Faith Avenue: The Reality

TEXT: [NIV] PSALM 37:25
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.





It has never been on record that God has ever forsaken or abandoned the righteous. If God is ever going to consider forsaking a man, then it's not a righteous man because the only man that loves Him and seeks to do His will at all times is a man that is found to be righteous in all his ways. God doesn't forsake those who love Him. God stays and abides with those who loves Him and seeks to do His will at all times. You might have one or two people you have seen around who loves God and are doing His will at all times but are going through one challenge or the other. The truth is this: God never promised that the righteous won't get into trouble but He only promised that He would give them help in trouble. Psalm 60:11

According to the focal scripture for today's devotional message, the Bible elucidates the reality that a righteous man is walking and living in. It might seem that God has actually forsaken a righteous man but that's not true. That a righteous man is in trouble doesn't mean God has forsaken him. The troubles that a righteous man is facing today isn't going to last forever but for a while because the troubles are there just to make him to put his trust in the Lord more than ever before. There is a work that's always going on within a righteous man and that work is to build him up to a certain level that the things that had always been making him to lose confidence in God won't shake him anymore but to make him have more confidence in God.

God uses troubles and challenges of life only to help a righteous man consistently fix his gaze on Him. Even in trouble, God is with a righteous man. Even in pains, God is with a righteous man. So no matter what the righteous man is facing or passing through, God is working on the things he is passing through to bring out something good for him. As a righteous person, you have to always face this reality that each time you are faced with any trouble, God has not forsaken you and will never forsake you. God will never leave you to bear the burdens of life alone. God is always with you and will always give you the help that you need to overcome the trouble that has come to overwhelm you as you journey through this phase of life.



PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your Word. Now that I know that the reality that a righteous man is walking and living in is that no matter what the righteous man is facing or passing through, You can never forsake him. Please Lord, help me to always live and walk in the reality that You are always with me even when I'm in trouble or in pains so that what I'm passing through won't make me lose my confidence in You in Jesus Christ name.
